South Korean shipbuilder STX said Wednesday it would launch a round of statutory cooperation procedure talks in Finland with the aim of cutting up to 350 jobs.
STX added that its Rauma and Turku yards as well as lifecycle services would be affected.
Juha Heikinheimo, the head of STX Finland, said the job cuts would be put into effect over the course of next spring.
Last week, STX’s Turku yard delivered the world’s largest passenger ship to Royal Caribbean.
