Scandlines Invests to Upgrade Capacity on Gedser-Rostock Route

Ferry operator Scandlines is to invest in two ferries on the Gedser-Rostock route between Denmark and Germany that will double capacity on the route, according to Logistics Finland. It will also invest more than DKK 300mn (EUR 40.24mn USD 53.67mn) to upgrade its facilities in the port of Gedser, and the facilities in the port of Rostock will be upgraded to include two berths as from 2012. These investments will make it possible for Scandlines to operate the route with four ferries.
