Danaher's Cepheid Receives FDA Emergency Use Authorization For 45-Minute Coronavirus TestLate Friday night, the U.S. Food And Drug Administration approved the first coronavirus test that can be conducted entirely at the point of care for a patient and deliver results in 45 minutes.Cepheid's Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2 is a rapid molecular diagnostic test for qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, the company said in a press release.
